Back to School ~ Clipboards

Make some easy, inexpensive clipboards to give as gift for Back to School.

The last time I was in the Dollar Tree, I found these calendar and note pads that were packaged for a $1.00 and thought that they would be perfect to make some clipboards.. You can write down notes and have a calendar at your fingertip.   I then thought it would be great to have a cork board to pin important memos.  I did find small cork boards at the Dollar Tree that I cut up in small pieces.  They weren't the easiest to cut so I need to figure out something else for any more that I make.

Materials:
Clipboards (I bought small and large ones from Walmart)
Scrapbooking paper
Binder Clip
Calendar and Post IT notes or Note paper
Mod Podge Glue
Washi Tape

Directions:
Using Mod Podge glue scrapbooking paper to the clip board.  I did use coordinating paper and to make a design on the clip board.  The scrapbooking paper kit that I had, also had some sayings so I used that also.

On some of the clipboards I used washi tape to bind the different coordinating paper that I had and to tape the top of the clipboard.  Add the calendars, post IT note or note paper to the clipboard.

Cut the cork board into small pieces.  As I found this to be difficult as I couldn't find my X-ACTO knife and had to use scissors.  The edges weren't so straight so I used my washi tape that coordinator with my papers around the cork board.  Glue the cork board to the clipboards.

Glue scrapbooking paper to the binder clip and clip to side of clipboard.  My scrapbooking paper kit that I used had some inspiring words like believe, so I thought this would be great to inspire your students.

These also make great gifts, make a few for for Christmas.  Each clipboard costed me between $3-$5.

I would love to see your design.. drop them off over on my facebook page.
