Asiago Honey Garlic Turkey Panini
I was given products from The Gourmet Warehouse to use and review at no cost to myself.
All review are 100% mine.
I have to tell you straight up that I love The Gourmet Warehouse injectables or at least the Honey Garlic injectable that I received and can't wait to try the other flavours that they have. To make this sandwich I first made the Honey Garlic Turkey in my slow cooker. To find the on how I made it head over to the Daily Dish Magazine for the recipe.
I have made slow cooker Turkey breast for many years and have attempted to try to have the flavour go through out the meat by making slits in the meat and rubbing the spices throughout. With the Honey Garlic Injectable it was easy to get the flavour through the whole meat as they included a large bore needle and syringe to inject the solution everywhere... Easy, peasy and great flavour!
With the Honey Garlic Turkey I decided to make a panini.. although the turkey tasted wonderful on its own too.
For each sandwich: Quantities per personal taste.
Ingredients:
Two pieces of bread (I used rye bread)
butter
Asiago cheese
few slices of onions
few slices of cucumber
few slices of red peppers
thinly sliced avocados
Directions:
Thinly butter outer side of bread. (You can also butter both sides of your bread but I usually only butter the outside). Place butter sided down on your panini maker or griddle. Layer cheese, turkey, peppers and onions. Place second bread with butter to outside. Close panini maker and cook as per maker instructions. If using a griddle, cook until bread is golden brown, flip sandwich and cook other side until golden brown and cheese is melted.
Once sandwich is done, place on plate and open sandwich up, add cucumbers and avocados. Close sandwich and enjoy.
Make sure you check out the recipe for the Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Turkey. I am sure you won't regret it. As it was cooking it smelled wonderful...
The recipe that I made with Gourmet Ware House Cherry Jalapeno BBQ was Oven Cherry Jalapeno BBQ Chicken with Cherry Salsa.
