Decorating for Christmas - Blogger Christmas Series #3

Have you started decorating for Christmas yet? ~ Or are you like me and not have a stitch of decorating done this year.  I usually have at least something done but not this year.  So instead of showing you my decorations, I am going to be showing some of the decoration and how I decorated in past years.

Decorating for Christmas

Every year I like to put up a Nativity Scene.  Some years I put it on my buffet in the dining room and other years it goes on the piano.  Although the place is different I set up basically the same every year.

The nativity scene comes from Partylite and I have had it for many years.  I also have a Shepard and Angel candle that are also from Partylite.  Along with the candles I have some porcelain angel ornaments and ball ornaments that set up around the nativity scene and hang with fish line so they look like they are floating.  Under the batting that I use I set up a string of lights.

Santas are also party of my decorations.

I have collected Santas for many years.  I use them on my mantle display and window display.  They are also on my tree.  Along with the Nativity Scene, Santa is a big party of Christmas.

Along with my Nativity scene and my Santas, candles play a big part in my decorating.

Even if you don't have any candle holders, you can use things that you have in your home for them. Turn a wine glass upside down, add ornaments to the glass or even some picks and place your candle on the bottom.  Another way is to use a plate, add pillar candles tied with ribbon.  In a punch bowl, fill it with water, add cranberries, tea lights and either fresh flowers or plastic flower.

Once you are done your decorating enjoy a wonderful cup of Christmas Tea or Coffee and sit back and enjoy your work.
