Iced Mocha Latte Macchiato

Did you know that Macchiato means marked or stained in Italian?  I didn't until I looked it up.  First I was thinking the mark was chocolate or caramel marking on the top of the frothed milk.  Then when I was reading more it is the stained from the espresso or from the steamed milk

I love making specialty coffees and it is much cheaper then going to a coffee house or for me Starbucks as I have to drive at least 2 hours to get there...

Iced Mocha Latte Macchiato

Ingredients:
3/4 cup strong coffee with one shot of espresso
1 tbsp Maxwell House International House Latte - Mocha flavour
1/4 cup frothed milk
1/2 -3/4 cup ice
small amount of chocolate syrup (I used Dove Chocolate Chocolate Martini Mix)

Directions:
Place Mocha International House Coffee in mug.  Using Keurig make 1 shot espresso and 1 medium cup of coffee. This will make your coffee frothy.
Froth your milk.
In cup add at least 1/2 cup ice, you can add more later if you want.
Pour frothed milk over ice, leaving about 2 tbsp for top of your drink.
Slowly pour coffee over frothed milk.  Spoon last couple of froth over the top of coffee.
Drizzle Chocolate over the froth
Enjoy.

Do you prefer Caramel instead of Chocolate,  here is a wonderful recipe for a Caramel Macchiato
.
Carmel Macchiato topped with a drizzling of carmel syrup.
