Flow by Simpleware Cutting Board and a Recipe

I am always excited to bring to you my readers something that I think is wonderful.  For one thing I like to know about products from others before I try them and I am sure you are the same.
How many cutting boards do you have in your cupboards.. Me about 8 of different sizes and types.  Some I like ok, others I just use them because I have them and some are tucked far into the recesses of my cupboards..into the ibis, never to be seen (or at least hope not).

 Flow by Simpleware Cutting Board

I received a Flow by Simpleware Cutting board to review.  All opinions are 100% mine.

First I have to say that I love, love, love the colour of this board... It fits right into my kitchen colours.  The second thing I love about it is that it easy to take apart and easy to clean.  It is dishwasher safe.  It also is FDA approved and BPA free.

Another great feature of this cutting board over others is that it has non-skid strip on the bottom, meaning that it isn't going to slide across your counter-top as you are cutting... Nothing is worse then trying to hold down your cutting board as you are trying to cut a chicken up.

Do you see the holes in the top, that is to drain all the gunk and goo that happens especially when you are cutting the meat.  It then drains into the container underneath, which comes apart easy and you can carry it to your sink without spilling anything on you or the cupboard tops... or if it is juices that you want to save, much easier to pour and use.. A win, win situation I think..  The top piece come in different colours and are interchangeable so there is no concerns about cross contamination ~ another plus.. I do know that I am going to have to buy some of the other snap in boards, would be nice to have a couple of them for when you are cooking and cutting different foods.

 African Chicken Stirfry

Ingredients:  Printable Recipe
3 chicken breast cut into small pieces
1/3 cup flour
1 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp anise
salt to taste
1 egg whisked
1 tbsp olive oil
1-2 cups cut up vegetables (I used onions, mini sweet peppers, mushrooms, carrots, celery)
1 14 oz can Red Gold Diced Tomatoes

Directions:
Using your Flow by Simpleware Cutting Board, slice vegetables...  Set aside.

Using your Flow by Simpleware Cutting board, cut chicken into small pieces. Sprinkle small amount of salt over chicken.

In a small bowl, mix flour, ginger and anise.
Whisk egg, dredge chicken pieces in egg and then flour mixture.  (I usually put my flour mixture in plastic bag and after dredging the meat through the egg, I put all pieces in the flour and shake).
Heat olive oil in wok or large sauce pan.  Cook chicken until golden brown and crispy.  Take out of pan and set aside.
Add vegetables to pan and stir fry until tender.   Add can diced tomato and continue to cook until some of the liquid dissipates.
Add chicken back to vegetables and cook for another couple of minutes, until everything is well heated.
Serve over rice or noodles.

  2. Thanks so much for the cutting board review an your delicious African Stir Fry Chicken recipe. It's sounds delicious and looks so easy. I'm going to look into these cutting boards. I only have 2 boards 1 small and 1 large and they serve me well, but I like the idea of the tray to catch the liquids on this.

  4. What a cool cutting board! I love the holes for the juice (they would be really handy when cutting tomatoes, too) and your recipe looks delicious as well! Pinning.
