Salmon with Maggi-Ginger Glaze

We eat a lot of salmon.  I usually buy smoked salmon but every once in a while I will buy some fresh salmon. The best way to cook it in my way of thinking is by pan searing it..
I found this recipe from  FoodandWine.com when I did a search for salmon recipes.  I wanted a change and needed a different way to make salmon.  The only thing I changed was that I used Maggi Liquid Seasoning instead of Soy Sauce and seared the salmon in butter and oil.

Salmon with Maggi- Ginger Glaze/ This and That #salmonrecipe #ginger

Salmon with Maggi-Ginger Glaze

Ingredients:
1 lb fresh salmon
1/8 cup Maggi Liquid Seasoning -  (or Soy Sauce)
1 tsp finely grated fresh Ginger
1/2 tsp Dijon Mustard
1 tsp honey
Freshly ground pepper
1 tsp olive oil
1 tsp butter

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350
In small bowl add Maggi, ginger, Dijon Mustard and honey, set aside.
Heat oil and butter in oven safe skillet.
Pepper salmon and add to skillet skin side up,  searing for 2-3 minutes on high heat until golden and crusty.
Flip over and cook for another minute or so until you can remove skin.  Once skin removed, cook on high for one minute.
Spread  Maggi-Ginger Glaze over salmon.  Transfer skillet to oven and bake for 5 minutes or until salmon well cooked.
Transfer to plate, adding sauce from pan onto salmon.  Enjoy.

Cook's Notes: This recipe is sweet and tangy but delicious.  We ate every bite in one sitting.
