Decorating with Crochet Easter Eggs #Crafts #Easter

Although spring really hasn't come here to the UP, I decided I needed to get some  colour into our house.  So I have started to do some of my decorating for Easter...

I had found these neat Crochet Balls from Petal to Picots that I wanted to make.  Marilyn from 4 You-With Love originally shared them on her facebook page and I knew that I had to make them and use them in my Spring/Easter Decorations.  Petal to Picots used them in a vase with flowers... which I thought was cute, so I stole her idea (I don't have any real flowers, but think the fake ones work too)

I also thought they would be cute in a vase or container with just a ribbon around them as part of an Easter Center piece...

I did use the pattern that Petals to Picot provided for free but when I stuffed them, I tried to shape them into eggs instead of balls.  The pattern looks a bit different as it changed depending if you crochet in the front or back loop or through both the front and back.  I also turned some of them inside out as I liked the pattern of the inside just as well..  I used variegated  Peaches & Creme yarn to make them, also cut the yarn so that I could make them look striped.  Another thing I did was use different size crochet hooks.

The last thing that I made with the Easter Eggs or balls was a wreath.  A couple of weeks ago I had been at Micheal's Store and I received a gift certificate from them through instagram when I posted a knitted cup holder that I made and was sending to friends.  I had bought the twig grapevine wreath there and the flowers. The flowers I found in their scrapbooking section.   I found the Rabbit from the Dollar Tree and the ribbon I had for a long time so dug it out of my craft box.

The wreath was very easy to make after the eggs where crocheted.  All I did was tie the ribbon to wreath and glued the rabbit, eggs and flowers where I wanted them.. That is all, easy...

  9. When you make beautiful but seasonal creations like this, what do you do with them after the season is over? Do you store them till the next year? Give them away? Take them apart to reuse the pieces?
