Fall Tablescape

I found these awesome plates and bowls from Better Home & Garden in Walmart and knew that I had to get them for my Fall Tablescape this year.  My husband also gave me a tea set this fall that worked perfect with plates as the plates have a gold trim that worked great with the gold trim of the tea set.  This tablescape would be perfect for a coffee/tea party.

Fall Tablescape

Fall Tablescape decorated elegant and inexpensive with items from Dollar Tree and Walmart

I started my place setting with place mats from Dollar Tree.  I had found some linen coloured cloth place mats that worked wonderful.  I also found some pumpkin felt decoration that I placed between the place mat and the plates.  Last year I bought some orange and green plates from the Dollar Tree. These plates I used for the chargers and then placed the Better Home & Garden plate on top.  (I only bought two of the plates but I think I will have to go back and buy more).  I added the cups from my tea set and my Iitala glasses.

As I was doing this tablescape for a tea/coffee party I placed small jars of honey at each place setting for my guests to use in their tea.  I also will be putting my cakes or crackers in leaf dishes that I picked up at the Dollar Tree.  I bought two different styles of dishes.

For the centerpiece, I used a pumpkin tea cloth that I found on my travels this fall.  I don't remember what store I found it in.. possibly World Market or Target.  I added an awesome orange bottle that I found in an antique store in Lake City, MI.  I filled it with a dried Hydrangea flower and placed a wire pumpkin beside it.  I also had a small souffle dish that said "Give Thanks", that I bought on sale from Micheal's Store last year.  In the souffle dish I put a partylite candle.  Better Home & Garden also had some bowls with leaf pattern on them that I bought this fall from Walmart, these will be perfect serve salads or pretzels in.

As this tablescape will be used for a tea/coffee party I added my homemade Gingerbread Syrup and some creamers.
