I was given an opportunity to try and review Tribes- A- Dozen Voila! Hallah Egg Bread Mixes. The two mixes that I was given to try were the traditional and the whole wheat. The instructions on the back of the packages were easy to follow and told you exactly how to make them.
I made the traditional bread by hand with my kitchen aide mixer. I will have to say that I was a little worried as it didn't seem to want to rise properly (not the mixes fault but my kitchen was a little cool even with the oven on and the bread by the oven to get the heat) but the end product turned out and tasted wonderfully.
At the bottom of the package it did say that you could make this bread in a bread machine and seeing that I have two of them, I thought I would do that. This even made making the bread easier, you just added the ingredients per your machines instruction, push the button and in a couple of hours you have a fresh loaf of bread that smells and tastes like it was homemade.

Hi Marlys, the breads look so good. I don't have a bread machine - I ran out of storage space - but I do have a stand mixer and I love trying new recipes. Thanks for the great review on the Tribes-A-Dozen bread mixes and the opportunity for the giveaway. I would definitely love to try them.
ReplyDeleteThe breads look good! Sometimes I have a problem with bread rising also bc of the temperature of my kitchen, especially in the winter. I recently discovered my stovetop has a warming section and that works great for me. BUT I saw a photo of someone using a heating pad to help their bread dough rise. Might be an idea for you.
