EZ Cup Review and Giveaway

I love my Keurig... Well I guess it really isn't mine as I bought it for my husband for his last birthday, but I still love it.  It is perfect for us as we don't drink lots of coffee at a time and I really don't like coffee after it has sat in the pot for many hours.   Now we can have a perfect cup of coffee right when we want it.  The biggest problem with the Keurig is the expense of buy all the coffee pods... But it can be cheaper...

With the Perfect Pod EZ Cup

I saw an advertisement of the Perfect Pod EZ- Cup on facebook one day and clicked on it, which is something I so very seldom do.  The reason that I clicked on it was that I had wanted to try a refillable cup and see  how they worked.  I contacted the company to see if there was a possibility of reviewing their products and they got back to me and told me yes... and gave me an added bonus.....
I could share them with you my readers.
I was given 2 EZ- Cups, 2 EZ-Cup Filters and 2 Eco Fill Cups to review.  I have used them for both tea and coffee and I love them.  They are easy to use and I can grind my own coffee beans and use them instead of buying the coffee pods.  I have been using the EZ-Cups and the EZ- Cup Filter when I make coffee and the Eco Fill Cup when I make tea.
I did try to use the EZ Cup and the EZ Cup Filter to make my tea but I found that it wasn't strong enough for me and was perfect when using the Eco Filled Cup.  I also found that I could use my tea leaves 2 -3 times when using the Eco Filled Cup versus the EZ-Cup and Filter.
For Coffee the EZ-Cup and Filter worked perfect.  You place your filter into the EZ-Cup, add your coffee grounds, snap on the lid and place it into your coffee pot... Easy.  The self  tampering spring compresses the coffee to give you great taste, using less grounds.  When using the EZ-Cup you must also use the filters.

In case you don't have a Keurig, the EZ- Cups can be used in other machines.   Here is a list of brewers that are compatible with the EZ-Cup.

For me this is a win-win combination ~ My Keurig and  EZ Cup and Filters.  They are easy to use and economical.  The Filters are biodegradable which is perfect for us as we plan to put them in our garden when we are done with them.  This is how I will be making my coffee and tea from now on.  On my bucket list now is to buy or review the Perfect Pod Maker and try the wonderful recipes that they have on their site.

Now onto the giveaway.   I was given 3 EZ-Cup and 3 EZ-Cup filters to giveaway.  So that means 3 winners.  This is open to US Residents only  BUT I have decided to open it to anywhere.  If you don't live in the United States I will have them mailed to me and I will mail them to you... as long as there is no problem with the Perfect Pod/EZ-Cup as I haven't talked to them about it...

Disclaimer:  I was given the EZ Cup and EZ Cup Filter and also Eco Filled Cup to review.  All opinion are 100% mine.

  6. Well you can use a cup for sure but don't go for disposals as hot coffee may react with the plastic and make the coffee a serious threat to health.

    Thanks

    1. Thanks for the comment Finn but isn't the filter holder in the coffee makers plastic too.... I think there would be a lot of people with serious health problems if this was the case. Also the hot coffee isn't in contact with the plastic for a long period of time... I could see this being a problem if you had the hot coffee in plastic but not running through it.

    2. It is true but one fact is that after taking a coffee in a plastic material it smells like plastic.

      Thanks

    3. I agree Finn ~ I don't like my coffee in plastic cups or styro for that matter... I think it is best to use a glass cup but I don't taste plastic when I have drip coffee or coffee made in single cup brewers as they aren't in contact with the plastic for any great time. I do think boiled coffee or coffee that is made in a french press are better because of the coffee mixing longer then when water runs through the coffee as in drip coffees. I just like the convenience of drip coffee makers or single cup brewers :).
